Maiquetia Simón Bolívar International Airport

10 reviews of Maiquetia Simón Bolívar International Airport

Bogota's airport: very busy

Simón Bolívar International Airport, twenty-six kilometers from Caracas, is one of the busiest in Latin America and the most important of Venezuela. But since living in Spain, many flights have a layover in Caracas before arriving in Bogota, and waiting after a trip of nine hours feels eternal. In 2007, I travelled with my son to Bogota and had to wait 5 hours in the Simon Bolivar airport.
