Marchelli's

Much more than an Italian restaurant, this was one of the highlights of our visit to St Petersburg. This is a very large Italian restaurant, with a terrace and nice decor, where you can enjoy a drink, or lunch or dinner. They open late - we had dinner at 22:00. The menu is available in English, and some of the waiters speak English. The food is typical of a pizzeria, with pasta and pizza, but with some surprising touches (Spanish gazpacho, for example, which was decent but not amazing). We tried a diverse range of dishes: gazpacho, pasta, lasagna, meat with cheese and potatoes, and caesar salad.
