Masía de San Juan

If you want to spend some unforgettable days in the region of Alto Palancia (Castellón), you have arrived to the right place. This impressive country house is built in the middle of the pine trees of San Juan, between the towns of Altura and Segorbe.

It used to be an Arab farmhouse, and it later belonged to the dominion of Cartuia de Vall de Cristo. With the confiscation of the house, it became part of the patrimony of the Marquis of Almunia.

It was acquired by today’s owners in the forties. After being restored, it was equipped for the most demanding tourists. The Masía is divided into 15 houses that have a living room-dining room, kitchen, bedrooms and a fully equipped bathroom.

We went there on August 2006 and 2007, in my opinion, it is the best place to go with small children. They have excellent service and the house is beautiful.

It is one of the most charming rural places in Castellón. It is fortified and of Arab origin, it was enlarged in the 18th and 19th centuries and converted in a country house in 2002.

It is surrounded by pine trees and it is located in the region of Alto Palancia, between Altura and Segorbe and the natural parks of Espadán and Calderona. It has 15 houses that are independent from each other and fully equipped.
