They call it the Island of the Sun, as it is sunny 365 days a year

The island of Rhodes, situated in the Mediterranean, is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands. They call it the Island of the Sun, as it is sunny 365 days a year. It is known as the City of the Grand Masters of the Order of San Juan, who were the Crusaders that lived in a castle, which is located within the walled city. It is quite an experience, walking down the long street of the Knights, where you can see Christian crosses, virgins, shields lilies .... Inside the old city, all religions coexist, so you'll not see only churches but also mosques and synagogues. On its streets you will also find hundreds of small businesses with the most varied goods.
