Tribute to the people of Lima

On a gray day after enjoying fine cuisine in a typical Portuguese restaurant called "A Carvalheira", we headed into the center of town that is situated on the banks of the Lima river. It is now considered the oldest town in Portugal.

On the street on the right bank of the river we discovered a new monument called "Memorias del Campo". It is a large, bronze, complex sculpture that is a tribute to the peasants, labourers and people of Lima valley who, with good work, formed this small town. It's a modern village that knows how to combine it's traditions and folklore with modern monuments and cultural and natural heritage.
