When you visit this fishing town in western Denmark, these 4 gentlemen will welcome you long before they can be seen clearly in a radius of 10km if the weather is clear. And no wonder because they are built with white concrete and have a height of 9 meters each. They have become one of the biggest tourist attractions in the 5th largest city in the country, along with fisheries and the maritime museum. These 4 statues, whose faces stare toward the sea, symbolise man's encounter with nature giving the visitor a divine impression, or at least that is how it is described by its creator.
