If you are as devoted to Asterix and Obelix as I am you will understand the excitement I felt knowing that in coming to Dinan I was stepping into Gaul. How glad I was to walk into a store and find the chapter of Asterix in Britain. I kept thinking that Ideafix would come to greet me. What happened was that I found a place, not from a comic, but from history. This is the Place des Merciers whose characteristic tone comes from the houses from the early fifteenth century and from its arcades.
