    An interesting site

    Great

    Middelburg was the subject of intense German bombing in 1940. Much of the city today is the result of reconstruction, including the Stadhuis (town hall) and the Abbey Church, which actually dates from 1100, when the church was inhabited by monks from the city of Antwerp. This is a beautiful city whose center offers interesting monuments.
