A perfect ending

Passing through the Arribes del Duero is a fascinating adventure. The river, running to Portugal, has carved out canyons in the provinces of Salamanca and Zamora creating unreal, rugged and often inaccessible landscapes. Although the Arribes are enjoyed formidably in both provinces, it's worth it to cross the Lusitanian lands and, as a final point, visit the town of Miranda do Douro. There are several reasons. The first, there are amazing views from the old Lusa city walls. The bends in the river, the depths of the cut canyons, and the vineyards dotted with old vine-keepers' houses, are incomparable surroundings.
