Miravalles Volcano

Located on the Volcanic range of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, it is a beautiful volcano.In Costa Rica all volcanic area all within 50 km of the central crater is a National Park. This volcano by its nature presents a major tourist attraction since its activity occurs on the slop and not in its main cráter. Geothermal energy is strong and exploited by the government through the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad. Its activity is manifest by mini mud volcanoes and strong thermal and gas outlets. Many people visit to buy their mud face mask and for massages.
