Missionary School
Miramar Monastery Museum is located in a property of the same name, in the town of Valldemossa. It was founded in 1276 by James II, at the request of Ramon Llull. It was built to host a missionary school dedicated to the teaching of Arabic and other oriental languages. The aim of the school was to prepare friars to convert infidels to Christianity.
