Montanha Restaurant

Montanha is a stone cottage, designed to function as a restaurant on the first floor with a beautiful expanse of well kept grass, trees and plants just outside. It is located in the Sierra, near the hotel and the Museum of Caramulo. The restaurant is spacious and is frequently full most weekends by mostly young people, although of course you will see people of all ages. The specialties are Caramulo goat, duck rice, and dust to Lagareiro chanfana and cod, and squid which incidentally was not so good considering where we were. I recommend ordering meat, the chanfana which is made with goat meat.
