Monument to fisherwomen
Walk along the Avenue Of the Discoveries, opposite the fishing port, we found this huge monument that's dedicated to the women fishers of Póvoa de Varzim. It was made by Jaime Azinheira in 1997 and represents a group of fisherwomen performing activities of their profession, partially attached to a wall on which there's a quote-tribute to these "eternal sea sacrificed" by Raul Brandao.
