Domingos da Silva Gonçalves Monument

Along the side facade of the Church of San Gualter is a landscaped square with a monument to Domingos da Silva Gonçalves. It's a granite pedestal with a square base on which the bust of this canon and seminarian stands (he was also bishop of the diocese of Guarda). It was completed in 1991 on the centenary of his death. With it, students in the workshops S. José de Guimaraes pay tribute to their manager, ve posthumously received the Gold Medal of the city in 1987. Alongside is the modern Nicolino Monument.
