A unique structure
The monument to Deportato Museum (Modena) was inaugurated in 1973, and is a unique structure, located in a large area of Palazzao dei Pio, in the historical centre. It extends through 13 rooms of different sizes, where the lights and graphics create a wonderful atmosphere. Some rooms are decorated with graffiti, sketches by great painters such as Cagli, Guttuso, Léger, Longoni and Picasso. The last room has the names of about 15,000 Italians deported to concentration camps engraved on the walls.
