Monumento al Trabajo

This impressive monument is in the commercial and financial centre of Vigo, on the Gran Via, almost to Urzáiz. There is a set of 7 bronze sculptures placed on a concrete and granite pad, surrounded by a fountain that represents the sea. The sculptures represent seafarers working and pulling in a net. It's very detailed, you can see the effort and muscle tension. This huge 8 meter long sculpture is meant to honour the hard work of sailors and fishermen when they go to sea.
