Monument to the Partisans of the People's Guard

There are so many monuments in Warsaw, it seems mission impossible to know the origin and meaning of them all! This monument represents a wounded soldier held by a woman, with an olive branch in his hand. It was placed here in 1962, on the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Polish Workers Party. On its pedestal is written "To the partisans, the Polish fighters of the People".
