1 review of Moti Doongri Fort

Worth a visit

India is a country full of surprises ... and an example can be found here, a Scottish castle! Mooti Doongari is a small hill located in the centre of the city of Jaipur. Its name means Pearl Hill, and it is home to a palace and a temple. The latter is dedicated to the god Ganesha, and is a tourist attraction, partly for its amazing panoramic view of the city. The palace, an imitation of a Scottish castle, is privately owned and therefore can't be visited. Until recently it was occupied by Maharaja Madho Singh, and after his death it has become part of the heritage of the royal family.
