Enormous building
The enormous building housing Chaves Public Library is in the central square Largo General Silveira. It's a 2-storey building with 3 bodies, it has a symmetrical facade, except the central portion is higher, and the windows are framed by stone in different ways. The library has many reading rooms for different ages, newspaper room, computer room with internet access, loan service of books, audio and video. It also has a multipurpose hall where cultural events, exhibitions, conferences and seminars are held. Open Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm.
