Municipal Swimming Pools

These pools are situated beside the River Támega that runs through this beautiful Portuguese town, almost in the historic center. The pools were opened in Februry 1995, as a part of the forest park of the city of Amarante. They can be used at different times of year but are covered in winter. Activities include swimming, swimming lessons and competitions, gymnastics and swimming for babies. It has an excellent location for outdoor recreation.
