Museum of Cycladic Art

This museum is beautifully located and here you can appreciate the elegant and stylized Cycladic figurines, vestiges of a culture that flourished in the Cyclades from 3200-2000 BC. These beautiful marble carvings are fascinating for their clean lines. Most are female figures, possibly representations of fertility goddesses or amulets that accompanied the deceased. This museum is a must visit for anyone visiting Athens.
