By the catholic monarchs to the present day

The Naval Museum of Madrid contains a valuable summary of the history of navigation Spanish, by the Catholic Monarchs to the present day. The Museum is located at the beginning of the Paseo del Prado, in the general barracks of the Spanish army. No coincidence: the historical collected here owned by the Armada Española. Its origin dates back to 1792, when it started collecting the most diverse exhibits related to the history of seafaring. After paying a small fee, you can access the space espostivo, not very big but jam-packed with all sorts of objects and vintage: maps, weapons, ship models, paintings, treasures, until the reconstruction of the interior of a ship. The most valuable object definitely the map of Juan de la Cosa, who is the oldest map that depicts the Americas. For my taste, only for world maps it is worth the visit!
