Located near the train station in the outskirts of Haro, this area is also known as the neighborhood of the wineries, where you’ll find the largest concentration of century-old wineries in the world.

The majority of visitors make reservations ahead of time to visit the vineyards and see the creation and aging process of the famous D.O. Rioja wines. It’s a good place to learn about the history and the trade secrets of the great wine families of the region, known as the Capitol of Rioja.

This area of Haro is probably its primary tourist attraction since most of the region’s important wineries, many centuries-old, are located in the area. It’s located here for logistical reasons due to the proximity to the train station.

The train station is no longer in service but the wineries remain and most of them are open to visitors. It’s a must for wine-lovers and visiting them all would require a few days.
