Arabesque Markets
On the seafront in Olhao, at the height of Joaquim Lopes Patrão Praça, these neo Arab markets are located. They were built in the early twentieth century in 1915, and are rectangular, with four cylindrical towers crowned with metal domes. They are divided into two buildings dedicated to fruit and other fish. The fish is supplied by fishing boats that dock there. On Sundays, there is a popular market that is located around the municipal market.
