A lovely place to walk
La Ciotat, a pretty seaside town on the Riviera between Marseille and Toulon, has lots of small ports, each with its own special charm. The new port takes its name from its recent construction, and was built to provide more space for boats that are too numerous for the city's old port. There are barriers preventing access everywhere, but it's still very nice. You can see traditional Provencal boats, as well as beautiful sailing vessels of various sizes. It's a lovely place to go for a walk, not far from the centre and the charming old port.
