Japan and its Castles
The Nijo Castle was built in 1626 in kyoto and named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994. The total area of the castle of 275,000 square meters, of which 8,000 square meters are occupied by various buildings, the rest of its extent is occupied by gardens and ponds. It is a place you shouldn't miss if you visit Kyoto. My favorite part are the gardens gardens where it's a luxury to sit quietly observing the landscape.
