O Barril Restaurant

O Barril restaurant is a pleasant place, hid in an alley overlooking the Rainha D. Leonor square, in Ferragudo. They serve fish and grilled meats, and specialize in clams, fish and meat skewers. The starters and snacks are expensive and small, but the fish dishes and grilled meat are large. The turbot, typical sardines, bream, flounder, and swordfish are good and tasty. After you pay the bill, the waiter will leave small bottles of aguardinete, one fig (very strong) and the other bitter almonds (softer and sweeter), on your table for you to drink. Good service, expensive prices, good atmosphere, good menu.
