8 reviews of Bidderosa Oasis

Hidden coves and forests

The day that we visited Bidderosa it was a bit cloudy, so we couldn't really enjoy Sardinia's famous colors. If you're at Oasi di Bidderosa, you can take the state highway towards Siniscola and see the following:

- A large area full of pine and oak forests
- Plenty of hidden coves with turquoise waters
- The small Sa Curcurica lake
- Mt. Urcatu

You need to pay a small entry fee to access the Oasi di Bidderosa and they only let a certain number of visitors in each day. Berchida beach is nearby and there's some typical local eateries around if you get hungry.

Totally natural

This is a protected natural area consisting of five beaches only a few kilometers from Orosei toward Cala Juniper. They only let a limited number of visitors in each day so you should book your visit a few days in advance. First, you start off down a trail through a picnic-ready pine forest before arriving at Sa Curcurica pond and the beach. And what a beach! The water is as clear as I’ve seen anywhere and the sand is pearly white. Everything is totally natural. It’s marvelous!

Natural paradise!

This is a natural paradise! It’s located along the east coast of Sardinia near Orosei. There are about 530 acres of Mediterranean forest (things like junipers, mastics, myrtles, and pines) stemming from the re-forestation project spearheaded by the Sardinian government. Inside the park, there are 5 different beaches which you can reach by walking or biking (the closest is 4km away and the farthest is 7). The beaches are all unique and have clear water with rocks ranging from pink to bright red. The number of visitors is limited and it costs €12 to enter with a car.

A peaceful oasis

The Oasis di Bidderosa is a gorgeous nature reserve and the feather in the cap of Orosei’s already vast natural splendor. It’s is made up of 500 acres of Mediterranean pines overlooking the clear blue water. The fact that they charge for entry and limit the number of visitors means that the area has retained its natural integrity and extraordinary beauty. The sand is fine and white and creates one of the most tranquil and relaxing atmospheres of anywhere in Sardinia.

Incredible

Excellent

First, you should call ahead and reserve a visit. It costs 12€ plus €1 per person with a €1 reservation fee. The place is beautiful and the fact that they limit visitors keeps it nice and quiet. I’d recommend making a visit if you’re in the area. Don’t forget to bring a picnic!
