Oropesa

Very old town which highlights the beautiful castle that is actually two, one from the twelfth century and one from XV (converted into a parador). It was, it seems, was the work of Juan de Herrera, the architect of El Escorial. The town also has several churches, the Jesuit college Plateresque, a door in the wall, next to the Palace of the Dukes of Oropesa, the XV century Town Hall, with arcades and a curious passage of the XVI century. The streets have some charming houses. Oropesa Cottages: Http :/ /'https://www.toprural.com/castilla-la-mancha/toledo/casas-rurales-oropesa_rm-es-45125.htm'
