Ostrog Monastery

The church embedded in the Greda rock contains the body of St. Basil guarded by an Orthodox monk. We were able to enter after waiting a few seconds in line with the pilgrims whose destination was the small room that contains his remains. Many think that these remains heals diseases. The monastery was founded by him, who was the metropolitan bishop of Herzegovina in the seventeenth century and who died there in 1671. It is 50 km from Podgorica towards Niksic.
