Paradise Beach

This is the most famous beach on the island of Kos, a long stretch of golden sand with calm and clear sea. Unfortunately, during the summer season it is also one of the most popular destinations, and really fills up with people. In June, however, you can enjoy the beach in blissful solitude at least until 10:30 am, which is the time when the hordes of tourists start to descend. The water is very cold, but it is shallow and non-rocky, so good for kids. You can rent a sun umbrella and two deck chairs for 7 euros for the whole day, and there are several water activities available. The beach is in the Bay of Kefalos, in the southwest of the island and is about a 20-30 minute drive from Kardamena by scooter.
