Beautiful town
Peniche is a small fishing town that is less than 1 hour from Lisbon and half hour from Óbidos. Besides its beaches, such as the Consolaçao beach, one of its major attractions is its Fortress, which is also the City Museum, whose main interest is that it is inside a former jail for political prisoners. It is a beautiful town to spend an afternoon, or eat at one of the seafood restaurants in the harbor area.
