An American artist club
The Philadelphia Sketch Club Museum is located in the city of Philadelphia. Founded on November 20, 1860, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it is one of the oldest clubs of American artists; according to its website, it is in fact the oldest. Notable members have included Alexander Milne Calder, Thomas Eakins, Maxfield Parrish, and NC Wyeth. The club is dedicated to the appreciation of and education about visual arts, and preserving the historical value of the visual arts community. Low cost workshops and club contests are open to the public, and all interested artists are invited to apply for membership
