Piazza del Duomo

Embedded in the heart of the charming town of San Gimignano, reachable only by foot, the Piazza del Duomo is one of our favourites. I must say it combines all the advantages: magnificent historical monuments, and well preserved and restored houses overlooking the emblematic tower, characteristics of the place, warm and friendly atmosphere, a small hidden market under the arches. Everything is here and it's a real must-see. The place collegiate dates from the eleventh century. A very nice stop.

People really seem to have a very good time. It's beautiful and you feel surrounded by history!
