The prettiest beach in Cantabria
This beach is near Somo, about 20 minutes from Santander, and is popular with surfers. The water is clear and the currents aren't too strong. There’s a staircase leading down to the beach, an addition which has marred the virgin beach image and has led to large crowds of people in July and August. That being said, it’s still a pleasant place to visit during the week and in June and September. There is plenty of parking and lifeguards, but no beach bar. You can’t miss it if you’re in Cantabria.
