Preserving church history
The Presbyterian Historical Society Museum is located in the city of Philadelphia. Founded in 1852, with a mission to "preserve materials and services related to the history of the Presbyterian Church", the Society today has an extensive library, containing over 200,000 volumes and 20 million manuscripts. Besides the library, the building houses the archives of the Society, a museum, and various portraits of important Presbyterian historical figures.
