Pumalin National Park

The National Park is very close to Chaiten, about thirty-five miles north on the Austral highway. It has camp sites and beauty unmatched anywhere else. Also you can be seen from different points the Chaiten Volcano. Just like you see in the pictures, it is very active but very beautiful view. I recommend you buy provisions in Chaiten because there is nowhere to buy anything ... Bring a camera because you will not want to forget this place ... There are rivers where you can find truly natural water without paying for it.

There's no path to get there, you can only access it sea, so it's ideal for kayaks. There are vertical walls that disappear into the sea, dense evergreen forests, monumental waterfalls cascading from high peaks, a giant falling into the sea, pioneer or settler communities with spectacular stories, as well as natural thermal baths.
