Rocha Peixoto Municipal Library

A ways away from the historical center of Póvoa, in a modern building that opened in 1991, you'll find the Municipal Library and the House of Culture. In the gardens surrounding the building there's a monument dedicated to the illustrious Roxa Peixoto, who was a librarian. It contains more than 100,000 printed works, as well as digital, video and photo works also. The library has several reading rooms, a computer room with internet, media room, children's playroom, an auditorium and a bar.
