1 review of Mid-City Lanes Rock 'n' Bowl

Bowling alley and dance floor

Excellent

If you're in New Orleans, stop by the Rock 'N' Bowl for a different sort of evening from 8:30pm onwards. It's a bowling alley, dance floor and organic restaurant next to Ye Olde College Inn (owned by the same family). The bowling alley is open every day except some Sundays, and the dance floor operates from Wednesday to Saturday. Admission is $ 12. Every day of the week they have live music of a different style: swing, folk, rockabilly, jazz, Mardi Gras Indians, brass ...

I went on a Thursday, which is always reserved for music from the local French-influenced Cajun culture. Rock 'N' Bowl the only place you can find this kind of live music, and people come from all over the state to be able to dance for a few hours.
