The Sacred Art Museum of the Diocese of Teruel and Albarracin is within the episcopal palace, a very significant building in the city's architectural heritage from the late 1500's. It's in one of the city's most beautiful squares, giving way to the cathedral. The museum houses an important collection of medieval paintings. Located between two major centres, Zaragoza and Valencia, of artistic production in medieval times, the province of Teruel became a major recipient of Aragonese Gothic paintings.
