The Zodiac Signs of Michelangelo
It was a rainy Sunday, and I had just arrived from Sicily. My companion had fallen on the escalator at Catania Airport (prior to ascend the plane to Rome) and the doctor advised rest for two days, I went around the neighborhood under an umbrella and surprise! Two blocks from our hotel, located in Via Firenze and Via Na zionale, in the Republic Square with its magnificent Exedra (semicircle construction) around the middle of the square I saw a church in the background, humble-looking ..... I then discovered, after reading after my last stay in Rome that it was the Michelangelo Buonarroti project, characterized by its magnificent floors, giant size and the feature of the twelve signs of the Zodiac! The Zodiac Signs in a Church! I knew that the Church had tried to cover them with columns added later, and luckily they have been taken away.
