Santuario da Penha

Penha Sanctuary is situated on the top of a mountain and can be accessed by the back of the church of San Gualter where you can take a cable car and enjoy great views of city Guimaraes, which is of medieval origin and considered the birthplace of Portugal. Not everything looks so old, Guimaraes also has Sanctuary Penha that gives the visitor a wide range of services, and offers a vast array of infrastructure highlighting a mountain campsite, a mini golf course, an equestrian center, restaurants and cafes to name some. To climb the mountain of Penha there is A cable car whose route has a height of 400 m.
