Sarcophagi from the Roman Period

1 review of Sarcophagi from the Roman Period

Much more elaborate

In the Archaeological Museum there are lots of rooms with sarcophagi by unfamiliar anonymous authors that go unnoticed. But I loved it as these sarcophagi, especially the Roman ones, are much more elaborate, take your eyes to that time, the author and the technical characteristics, to see the details. Such as fascinating scenes of everyday life, hearing secrets, snack time, an old woman worried, etc. Truly the details of the reliefs are the best of this museum. Walk slowly, without looking at the guide, just open your eyes to anything that might surprise you.
