Seven Sisters

The Seven Sisters area is in the Tottenham district of North London. It is said that the seven sisters were originally seven century-old elm trees that grew in the place where the district developed. They have since been moved in order to build houses. Today, Seven Sisters is a multi-ethnic neighborhood with a strong Latin American community. They speak Spanish in the street, the shops offer products imported from Latin America, and the market is very lively like those in South America. There is also an African, Turkish and Polish presence and a large Orthodox Jewish community. All of these people live in harmony.
