Silk Road Hotel

The trip to Iran was the one I had most objections about, but day by day I fell in love with this country. It is very easy to do on your own, the locals are extremely friendly, and although we are all concerned about the political situation, it is like in the U.S., you always know where you shouldn´t go. Well, the Silk Road Hotel was one of the best experiences I had. The food is fabulous, the rooms are very clean, and above all, there is a very good atmosphere making you enjoy every moment. The managers can organise local excursions if you want, in small groups so that taxis can be shared. From

Iran does not have much in the way of budget accomodation. The hotels that are cheap are cheap and that's it, there's nothing special about them. But this particular hotel is cheap and amazing. The rooms, food, atmosphere, service, views, activities ..... It is located near a mosque. If you have time and feel like doing so, you can climb to the roof of the hotel and watch as the nightfall over the James Kabir Mosque.
