1 review of Sligo Abbey

15th century building

This is the only medieval building that has been preserved in the city, it was built in 1253. Much of the building is from the fifteenth century. The most important elements are the sizes and the cloister. It was built for the Dominicans. The building is beautiful, and although it is a typical Irish structure, it keeps its medieval atmosphere.
