Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch

1 review of Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch

A beautiful historical monument

Excellent

Located in the heart of Brooklyn, on the Grand Army Plaza, the Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Arch is a beautiful historical monument. This triumphal arch was built by John H Duncan at the end of the nineteenth century in honor of the soldiers and sailors of the Union, who had won the Civil War. The arch stands majestically in the middle of the square that marks the entrance to the famous Prospect Park.
