    A town with little interest

    The Soon Yee is definitely the best option for backpackers in Tawau, a town with little interest, but a compulsory stop between indoneso and Malaysian Borneo, to obtain a visa, as the visa on arrival in Indonesia to Westerners only occur in ports and major airports. The hotel owner is Chinese, he speaks good English and was very helpful with directions to the Indonesian consulate to get my visa. The single room, with TV, air conditioning and sink costs 7AC. It is in the heart of the city and withing walking distance of everything.
