Medieval Atmosphere
Many Tunisian cities are protected by walls and Sousse, or Sousa, is not an exception. Being one of the most important cities of Tunisia, though not well-known, it also has the character of a city-castle. Along with the impressive fortress of Rabat, the whole complex gives you a medieval Muslim atmosphere, similar in many respects to the Christian atmosphere.
