The view of the lifetime

It all started with an sudden zest of traveling among my friends, and the destination was decided. Spiti valley was always on my mind to explore and live a high-altitude life.

We started in Gwalior and ending up at Kaza, a journey of over 1200 km. Enthusiastic friends, camera, tents and all the other travel equipment. It was our first time.

Going to sleep at 2AM and waking up at 4AM so we could take the only bus to Kaza from Manali. But somehow we managed to miss that! And then it was a drive to Kaza in Tata Sumo, and what an driver he was, in a word: awesome. And the beauty on the way made me speechless: cool waterfalls, rivers running on the side of the road, the sweet gentle winter essence and mountains was almost too much for me.

Spiti Valley, northeast of the city of Manali, is in Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul and Spiti district) in northern India, in the center of the Himalayas.
